Forbidden Heart Love to ashes dreams to dust, light to night heart to rust... innocence of spirit stolen in youth, release is forsaken darkness is truth, no voice of choice, desire, set aside, for this game of pain I do abide, affection's cleansing is feigned under misery's spell as I sink back into this shell of hell I'm the queen of ice, ruler of underworld's dark sleep, the need for companion arms smolders ever deep, yet, I do not chance love or romance, the wisp of cupid's wings in air is a foreign language to a heart that refuses to care unable to deciphor it's breath of peace, in the depths of beguilling torment, loneliness, without cease if you choose to embrace this heart of mine, lest you be aware... it may burn you over time with the sting of ice tainting your purity of feeling, for, this heart is not candycoated with sugar and spice, I am not made up of pearls or goldilock curls if the walls of my ruins could talk, their screams would puncture your ears... curseful shrill from the tears of captive years accompanied by symphony of skeletions in the closet of chill so, here's my heart in all it's glory, I am the ice queen, ruler of cold, mysterious nomad, unable to hold, no man before could read the hieroglyphics of it's uneven beat... unyielding code, do you gamble with defeat? black, cracked and decayed beyond measure of fix, failure will be yours, I've seen your bag of tricks, do you think you can win when I have rejected God's glue? here's my humpty dumpty heart, melt it... I dare you ~*By Melissa Honeybee*~ ***Thank you to Temptress for inspiring me to write this!*** |
