I had no voice, I could not speak. God knew what havoc this could wreak. He found the way to loose my tongue; For those songs waiting to be sung. He rescued words, from deep somewhere And poems I didn't know were there. It took the grief, the trial of fire And my acceptance to inspire. If you should chance to read this rhyme, Just know God's working overtime, To set me free of inner pain; To find a life that's whole again. By: Joyce 4/6/01 |

Joyce~ This piece touched very deeply...many things that I can let go of in poetry have no voice anywhere else...if not for the freedom of poetry I'd still be running from the demons that ran my nightmares. It's a wonderful feeling to know that I'm not alone in this feeling...may you set your voice free within your weave and give the pain wings...so that you may always be free~ H* |

Joyce - how well I know pain also, but it passes, with help from above. Very stirring words that you write. BC |

Joyce~ He gave you 'voice' to share - thank you for doing so. Lovely, lovely thoughts. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
