Looking into the mirror Seeing myself looking back No expressions, no smiles Finally I face the facts My life has gone down hill Feelings are long gone Tears are streaming down A simple sparkle for which I long Happiness has eluded me Pity is what I feel No sun shines upon me Darkness is a constent deal Hitting rock bottom Is where I am as of today Saddness has overcome me I know no other way Wondering why I am here What is my purpose in life Feeling all this self doubt Can not be my long life strife I reach for a hand to help A little direction or a map Pull me out of this hole For I no longer can adapt Yet no one is near My self pity was too much No one to lend a hand Or feel the warmth of their touch Now sitting all alone Drowning in my own tears Knowing I must face... The purpose of all my fears! Don't fear your tears! |

Oh wow, that one made me cry. I hope that if this is a real life story, it will be better for you. Nicely done. LadyPeach1 |

This is such a sad piece that hits so close to home! I hope you find your way out of this abyss. I've always had a personal saying to help me get through the day...whenever you slip and fall into the gaping, dark abyss, remember that there are always other people down there to help you break your fall. You may not see them or be able to talk to them, but they're there. Another great piece. ~* Megs *~ I love the lines some men use to get us into bed. "Please, I'll only put it in for a minute." What am I, a microwave? |
