She is cold in the dwindling day, with no regrets, it's time to stray. His eyes, a flame, no longer real, her heart replaced by anchored steel. Forgive the past? It can't be done. Live for now? From now, she'll run. Reach for ribbons that fall from grace, for the innocence too soon replaced. There are monsters still and strong, grasping closets doors not gone. There are demons under her bed, wrestling with a past lost in her head. Now she'll cry one last time no need for circles of selfish ryme. In the end, she'll choose to stay, engulfed in flames just one more day. I can't control my destiny I trust my soul, my only goal is just to "be" -Lyrics from RENT [This message has been edited by angelbear (edited 05-27-2001).] |
