Time became so slowly Sad and hopeless Since I burned my own dreams Choosing to be the hero Like those lonely guys on movies Time became so cold With no hope to be warmed And no permission to dream ‘Cause heroes They always do the right thing Time became so dark Empty and full of nothing Since I opened my secrets Loosing the licence to believe Wish, need or fight Time became so lonely Afraid any word can hurt again Meanwhile silence Keeps burning slowly Where no one can see Time became so blind Running away From what is going on Hiding behind the true But with no chance to lie again Time became so cruel Slowly, cold, dark, lonely and blind But heroes don’t cry They just do what has to be done All the time |
