You were the wisest In my small eyes You were my father You forgot I was your daughter You became my enemy In anger I threw you out of my heart You became the biggest fool I would ever know Nothing you had ever taught me Was good enough to save I dumped the dirty bath water of my life Down the drain Watching it swirl I washed every trace of you From my being Scrubbing so hard I bled Then I too went careening Down the drain Caught in the drain trap Amid the sludge By the grace of God I managed To climb out |

Interesting parallels here between God the Father and a human father... This is very sad - and angry - strong writing. K |
