In the mist Of a forgotten morning, Stands alone, In sadness; Wearing the black of mourning, Looking out Across seas, Solitary on the sands, Reaching out With his heart, Thoughts of her in unseen lands; In the mist Heart like a fist, he’s crying. Gloom |

"Wearing the black of mourning" strong line I like the visions of standing by the sea with the grains of sand, the grains of time, realizing the disposition of existence. thanks Victims, aren't we all? |

What a sad picture painted here for him. Followup - he cried an ocean of tears, then turned back towards the road, his life and his future... Isis *War produces one thing - Cemetaries. And in cemetaries there are no enemies!* |

Grains of Time In the reign That cloaks me in present time I am missed By your words Dressed in the blueness of rhyme Holding, in Grains of sand Loving thoughts seeping between Poetic lines Heart in hand Remember, my wearing green? On that day Deep blue eyes did lay upon mine. ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |

Thank you, amyX, I am pleased you liked this, I believe that strong images make strong emotions, Or at least enable strong emotions to be conveyed. Thank you, Isis, Although this is an old poem, It is a recurring theme with in me, But the idea of “then turned back towards the road, his life and his future...” Tends to be more like my poem “The Mourning Mist” which I will post as a follow up to this one. Thank you, nakdthoughts, For the wonderful poetic response in kind. Thank you, ilph, I am glad you got the feel. Gloom |
