I sit alone in the dark And as much as I yearn and enjoy solitude and obscurity I'm still in search of someone to share these lonely nights with. I don't have anyone to look up at the stars with Anyone to enjoy this new obscure pleasure with Anyone to express my emotions with Anyone to help save me from myself I can't scream neither in anger or agony straining myself enough to attain relief from these feelings. I can't cry niether some or at all to let out emotions and tears to wash away all my burdens and fears I spend restless nights thinking I'm weak For I seem to need someone to be my best-friend my partner in crime and my sweetheart Is that wrong? Where did I go wrong? I always thought I would be happier in solitude. Yet somehow I still feel empty and incomplete Can it be that I really need the love of someone as more than a friend? Maybe....however I still have no intrest in looking Call me lazy or call me crazy I just don't think I'd be right for anyone, because I'm barely right for myself. I just wish I had someone to sit alone with at night and look up at the stars Someone to help me express my emotions better Someone to help save me from myself. Though I can't wish my life away I remain completely alone and will always seem to be I've got nothing to gain and nothing to lose except maybe...my self-esteem. Then again life's a risk What do you think?? |

What do I think? Well I believe that life is a risk. Everyday is that of a new journey and that without it life could get pretty boring. Yet I do understand your poem greatly. For I, myself have felt this way at a time in my life. I know that it seems you are alone. But actually you arent. And one day, maybe far down the road, you will find that *special* someone made just for you. Someone that will give YOU all the love and friendship that you deserve. Look around that *person* might be standing behind you...... who knows!  Peace, Mags No person is worth your tears, and the only one that is ...... will never make you cry |

Rene_M, Well, humans are a gregarious lot, at least part of the time. So, you need someone(you'll notice that there is a lot of that going around at this site). Nothing new. I would only suggest, just as a practicle exercise, that you turn this poem around, as if you were reading it from another author in this seemingly endless dilema. Now, someone needs you. yes..i must say i'm relating to this one.. it would be easier to be able to live alone and be happy with it..but that companionship is much longed for...i know... *sigh*.. but wow! cool response from krawdad! turn it around and "now someone is looking for you"!....think about that one..hmmm.. hugs, g "oh baby baby, its a wild world..its hard to get by just upon a smile..." cat stevens |

"Someone to help save me from myself"----god, i know this feeling all too well. and i think that you are a wonderful writer and most likely a wonderful person. it is hard and it takes time and mistakes, but i am sure you will find someone. Good luck |
