Dead Heroes and My Silent Romeo All of my heroes are dead. They died screaming in my head as I lay in the darkness grasping the cold emptiness. All of my heroes are dead. Their ghosts dance about my bed as I watch my sanity slipping away from me. All of my heroes are dead. They rake their cold hands thru my soul as I claw to hold my silent Romeo begging him to hold my dyeing pieces, not to go. "There is an alter ego which dwells in every soul..." a-alibaster "I am as I am, nothing more, nothing less, I am tears of pain, tears of Death. Sorry, I just couldn't help but think about this quote as I read this piece. "When he shall die, Take him and cut him out in little stars, And he will make the face of heaven so bright that all the world will be in love with night." [Shakespeare,R & J,III,ii] Great emotional writing, Ali. Thanks. "The rose, like the cactus flower, protects herself with thorns. We however, impale ourselves on their beauty." |
