Silence to the underdog, The one you dominate, Name that demon that steals an essence? The facade falls, there is no escape. For many years it was hidden, All were to blind to see, And that is why he was threatened, By the enlightened like you and me. No longer can he hide the demon, It now shows it's face publicly, Even the charmed ones cannot banish him, This evil, unholy entity. He is a changeling, That is how he reels them in, They do not see the evil, Then he transforms with an evil grin. He frightens us, We feel under his subserviant control, We fight not to be the next victum, The next name on his unimaginable death roll. I call upon the mighty powers, Of the Horned God and the Goddess, Come now to our side, And help us put an end to his recipe of mess. Help us banish this demon, For now and for all time, And then the world can make amends, For all his twisted evil crimes.... *War produces one thing - Cemetaries. And in cemetaries there are no enemies!* |

Hello, Isis. I saw your poem sitting here without a single reply, and I thought I'd give it a boost. Your poem is very intense. It reminds me of the saying that goes something like, "The devil's greatest accomplishment is convincing the world he doesn't exist." |

I think this is a great description of the unseen evil in the world, which keeps reincarnating...reinventing itself...timeless and ancient. Thanks for the great read! Jellybean King |

it does indeed take many forms. . . and that's terrible. . . makes us afraid to see the ones whose hearts are true. . . excellent my friend. . . -------------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

I liked this piece, Isis. There is an ever present mystic realm that pervades and parallels our world. Crazy Horse called ours the "Shadow World", and the "Real World" was what he dreamed himself into. There, everything was bright and seemed to float, and his white horse became wild, almost crazy, thus his name. There, he was invincible, weapons could not harm him, and he was safe from all our evil and its madness. "The poet is the priest of the invisible." |
