She stands in the blooming meadow As the flowers around her sway. Two salty, bitter tears run down Her cheeks, which she wipes away. His image looms before her eyes, His features so strong and sure. The love she felt and gave to him Was so innocent and pure. The image flits away again, Her heart, again, it breaks. The man she used to love so much Always her heart he takes. A bitter laugh escapes her throat, It's sound, so cold and dead. She never would forget that day When he chose her instead... |

Welcome to passions! This is a painful first entry - and one with which I can well identify. Please check your email... K Strokes of ink, words, dreams like Waking mountains make intimate conversations With my shadow From 'Words in the Night' by Jeff Geddes |

I too welcome you to passions. I liked this very much and can totally relate. For you see, I've never been the one chosen either, rather I'm the one who always gets discarded. Thank you for sharing this piece. I look forward to reading more of your work. Take care! G Regret not that which you have done, Rather that which you haven't |

I must say that this is one of the worst feelings in the world, to watch the one you love, love someone else in return. I can sympathize with you because...well I'm in a complicated situation most likely headed in that direction... anyway... Welcome to passions, and I'm sorry your first entry had to be such a painful one (but thena gain, aren't most entries in this forum)? ;-) Best of luck with your heart and self. ~* Megs *~ the Disheartened Fallen Angel "Those who are faithful know only the trivial side of love: it is the faithless who know love's tragedies."
