This is a poem about the begining of a relationship that ended in disaster. This poem is about the most beautiful form of love there is, as far as I'm concerned, but also the most dangerous. If you know this love please, do not be afraid, but do be aware... This love is the most fuffilling, beautiful, wonderful, exciting, splendid love there is... But it's also the most destructive to one's life, so much so that many would reccomend you do not try it. *Shrug* Okay, I'm rambling... *Shrug* I guess it's true, the most beautiful things in the world can bite if you are not careful, but sometimes they become the spectacle that legends are made of. ANYWAY, here you go.

My Love

With the smell of precious flowers dancing in the air,
I gaze upon the one who has set my soul free from it's shackles
And sit in awe of her utter tranquility.

I care no more for my own well being;
The taste of food no longer satisfies my hunger,
A gallon of water could not quench my thirst.
Quakes aroar and tornadoes blasting,
Lightning strikes the ground beneath me and the earth thunders in pain,
And still I could only occupy myself with that which is contained
Within her heart;
I am no longer afraid for myself,
But only for her.

Now in life I care for myself only because she does,
Because she in turn loves me...
Every thought that enters my head
Considers the effect it may have on her.
My life is not my own anymore,
My soul is her possession,
And I fear no abuse;
She is in this love with me as well,
Always desiring that my heart contains happiness.

And so we live,
With my heart in her hands,
Her heart in mine.
Every moment of every day now
My heart no longer beats on it's own;
Gently she squeezes,
Life blood cycling my veins.
I could go on forever,
Her heart in my palm
Letting my love beat sweet life into her body.

No longer it seems are we our own people,
As I have forfieted my soul,
And she has taken it into her arms.
She too has lost the need and desire to care for herself,
And so I have taken it upon myself to love and cherish it.
It is an endless loop,
What happens in her life circulates into me,
And with it's effect on me it bleeds back into her.
I don't think I would have it any other way.

In the end I would give up everything, Anything, For her.
I would give my life for her,
And it's not important that she would do the same for me;
Time could go on forever,
And in the end she would be my only care in the world.

No matter the intensity of our love it always takes two with similar feelings and desires and availability to tango...if not we soon find that a love that could be shared by two is no fun with just one...James

Excellent poem as always Jeremy
But i do need to say that as sad as it was that your relationship ended...doesn't mean that 2 people can not last meeting in the cyber way...I have found my kindred spirit...we share our love deeply for one another...and if that keeps going and we keep each other happy...then things can work out! Like i said before we go through so many to find the one True love...so maybe she just wasn't the one for you and somewhere out there there she will be, someone waiting for you to sweep her heart away*S*

I could understand your feeling and thoughts with this descriptive heart-felt poem. Just my thoughts... when one first falls in love, isn't this the way one ought to feel... which is absolutely terrific - then after awhile it just falls into a sweet truly marvellous comfortable feeling. The love is still there... but at a different level I cannot fully express in words at the moment. I could ramble on forever about the idiosyncracies of love and so forth... but I won't

As I said... adored it Related very much.

Take care.

Precicely... And therin lies the reward. A love more true than words, or even emotion for that matter, can contain.

But many never find that love, and for those who do find the love I've encapseled within this poem, very few will see it to it's glorious end. It's sad. It truely is. But given perseverance, and stubborness, with a smidge of luck... And you shall find this love. But more likely than not, you'll pay in the blood of the soul for it.

Thank you for your comment, I truely appriciate it. And don't worry about rambling, at least when it comes to me... Take it from a severe rambler

And to those who read this, and who're maybe loosing hope in love... It's worth the pain, the aching, the hurt. Keep looking and you will find it. It's all a matter of when. All the best

Jeremy
