INSOMNIA Soft pink of twilight brings the day to a close and nature rests. But for the screaming of the cats, screeching of the the owl, baying of the dogs out on the prowl. Church bell tolling, oh so boring by my side my husband snoring. Howling of the wind, shrill whistle of the a train, then them lousy cats again. Sweet dawn come the sky it mottles, then the milkman rattles his bottles. The front door loudly groans and quivers as the paper boy delivers. Morning sun at last comes creeping, perhaps a time at last for sleeping. Desperately to my dreams I cling when the phone begins to ring. Out of bed I tiredly lumber. "Sorry dear it's the wrong number" Up and dressed I look a sight but hope and pray I'll sleep tonight. |

Oh the dreaded insomnia...try the natural approach...calcium/magnesium blend...you'll go to sleep for sure, and make sure you don't drive while taking. hahaha I took it one time, and didn't know it's affects, and I fell asleep in church. Oh my gosh, I was soooooo embabrrassed. This write sure gives that restles, toss and turn feeling. SharaRose @-->-- Of sound, and speech let all lift the hearer! |

Thank you Littlewing and Shararose. I very rarely suffer from this either but thought that it was a good topic for a poem. Maggie |
