veins crawl
searching forgiveness – appalled
with leaves falling
the new ones
don’t call

overwhelming
this tree
branches now lost
dichotomy
with a cost

splendor consequences
they all thought
forever coasting
into the other
or do they not

look at me
when the axis knows
air will moisten
direction shown

you too
from the possible
the past fades
of afternoon sultry.

If nothing is something
then everything is
our thoughts and feelings
and all that exists.
