Another cheerful house caller connected
to deliver knocks answered by the unexpected
the door creaked open to an expressionless man
who greeted her as she naively strode in
and silently closed the door to the night outside

A misathropic urge convulsed
his aura ripped
a thin vineer of civility
yielded to darker,sinister urges..
then there followed the unexplained
the missing bureau added another claim...

A cheerful door visit gone awry
a figure soon became self-possessed
ruled by a stainless tool of choice
yet their linen absorbed that crimson stain
out, out rude blemish, he would cry
to alter courses, so ruefully planned
but his was the voice of the damned...

Her spirit would rise from the bed she lay
to haunt his living daylights till one day
she sought to overturn an outcome of events
but neither one nor the other could rest content...

I have to thank a horror film friend of mine who finally got me to put the 'dark' in words here, thanks all for sharing
