When I lifted the veil Everything became clear You hated me I wanted to hate you But I couldn’t, Because I still cared We were a good group Then slowly each of us Slipped away Most came back You allowed it But not me I was no longer Considered a friend You pushed me away And for what? A simple lie, Something I said Now you hate me I don’t care anymore None of it maters You live your life And I’ll go live mine Goodbye former friends Perhaps we’ll meet again Someday, not tomorrow Perhaps You may only be one person to the world, but you may also be the world to one person. |

Like it. It has that "Im-going-off-to-war" feel to it. Like "Leaving on a jet plane, dont know when I'll be back again" Good poem. Im adding this one. GIS a trickle of music from a well |
