A broken child lies still on the ground
And his screams echo loudly
And his voice is dead
And his demise is at hand

A desperate child yearns for freedom
It’s the torment he’s wishing to escape
It’s the pain he fights
It’s the death he craves

A lost child aches to be found
He’s so alone
He’s crying aloud
He’s dying to be loved

And all the time you’ll never see
You’ll never know
Because you don’t understand
And if I were to give my advice
Don’t even try
Because you never will

A lost child aches to be found
He’s so alone

He’s dying to be loved

Yes, it IS tragic; so very unsettling. Though I have seen this in reality, it happens every day. And it seems that no one cares.
