No Escape

i'm running trough tunnels,
with walls of eyes.
not sure where i'm headed,
not sure where i've been.

confused about everything.
not sure of life.
not sure whether it's day or night.
not sure of who to turn to.

i'm stuck in the middle.
always have been.
i've got to get out.
got to get away.

the eyes are staring at me,
there's no escape.
no door that says "exit" above it.
no light to follow.

i'm so scared. i don't know where
to go. people are messing with
my head. there are no
people.

i break into a run. eager
to get out.
can't see where i'm going.
i can't catch my breath.

hands are coming out of the walls.
reaching, trying to find an arm
to grab, a mouth to muffle a
scream.

the eyes are staring at me,
there's no escape.
no door that says "exit" above it.
no light to follow.

i'm in the tunnel of confusion.
of anger.
of hurt.
it echos.

i'm in a labyrinth of confusion.
of anger.
of hurt.
it echos.

my mind has given up.
now i must reley on my heart,
though i'm not sure it's up to it.
i stop to catch my breath, no, the hands...

the eyes are staring at me,

no light to follow.

i hate to leave you hanging.
this doesn't seem to end good.
people have played with my mind.
there's no escape.

there are 2 ways of spreading light: to be the candle, or the mirror that reflects it. -unknown
