I turn up the radio
to drown out the sound
of my heart breaking
Look at me
I can't seem to stop shaking
I don't exactly recall when or where along the line
you began taking
peices of me
and replacing them with
misery
but it's plain to see
I'll never be the same again
do you remember
do you remember when
I gave it all to you
you smiled and said
"I love you too"
that's all I can hear in my head
as if my mind was trying
to resurrect the dead
with repetition
my friends warned me
but I didn't listen
I was too blind to see
that you were a coming tragedy
you signified
the end of me...

this is true only you let it. wether or not the other person continues to care you are responsible for the way you react and go on. If you wallow then of course you will elevate the drama of the situation and make everyone including yourself more miserable then it has to be.
