War Sounds Guns were fired, bullets shot Canons thundered loud Armoured tanks lead the way For those who marched on ground. Bombs were loosened to explode Missiles shot down planes Explosions echoed everywhere The world was in grave pain. The dead were often left behind Too many now to count Minefields hidden 'neath the ground Explode when feet go down. Poisonous gases, powders, sprays All have taken part Of the lives of those gone on And yet, still, those to start. When will it end, this thing called war What can make it stop?
