Outside my home,
I am inside my mind.
The paper-cup trees
leak away rain,
but my crystal sun has hidden.
I follow previous footsteps
and stare at the longest picture;
you in a black dress
with blue-green gems.
Rain doesn't fall here
when the picture includes me.
But it's been so long
since I've seen my crystal sun.

Well, to explain my 'paper-cup trees' you'd have to find one and fill it with water and let it stay that way until it weakens and then...drips. That's the imagery I'm trying to use. I want to make the 'paper-cup trees' to illustrate my heart (which is where I 'am'). The water (rain) is emotions that are contained in the cups, but they weaken and then drop them in the form of rain (which, as we all know, is a common setting for sad moments). Which is why when I'm 'in the picture' it's not raining.

I like abstract poems! I liked the papercup trees. lol. I don't know about bluegreen gem or what was it? I don't know...it just kind of stuck out like a sorethumb but great job!Loved it! Keep up the good work!
