WISH UPON A STAR

I sit outside my window,
and think what a beautiful night.
I search the sky,
with all my might.
Looking for answers,
peace of mind.
A lone star,
is all I find.
I close my eyes,
and make a wish.
To be in your arms,
and a heavenly kiss.
I’m as lonely,
as that star in the sky.
Only you can put the twinkle,
back in my eye.
Am I foolish?
Or just in love?
Another star,
appears above.
It got a partner,
I wait for mine.
So again,
I can shine.
Because,
with you near,
my whole world,
seems so clear.
You hold my heart,
you’re in my soul.
Next time I’m with you,
I won’t let go.
But I’m all alone,
here tonight.
And I’ll keep wishing,
Until I find my light!

I like this too but would like to see you use the word 'and' instead of the ampersand. It will make it easier for Ron to edit if it's accepted for the book. (voting now!)

Wishing upon stars poems, are always so delightful, and full of hope. Yours is truely one I would love to see in the book.

Sometimes we have to follow a stronger voice, even if it's silent.

This is so sweet. I haven't been on here forever (alot going on!!!!) But this is the first poem that caught my eye, and its just precious.
