Our holiday from you was short and
sweet.
In the end life without all your
stress
wasn't much different from life with
it.

We were still on edge,
there were a few explosions.
No more, no less.
The usual.

Our fire burns bright as it always has.
I can only pray that you have not turned
to gasoline in your absense from the pit.

Our holiday with you will be long and
succulent
with wars and fires and mangled old
ruins
from my golden age of insane foolish
inspiration.

"If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh"

fractal007~
Interesting write.
There is much depth in these words.
I enjoyed reading this.
