The Grain of Blood In loved I vowed eternal oath And basked my heart in light. And gave you my all, my innocence As you had taken me in the night. I hunger for what I can not have. You came to me in glittered splendor With forked tongue you beguiled me. You showed me the world with out bars And gave me dream and reality. I hunger for what I can not have. Forsaken vows, my heart does bleed At your feet I wither And you continue on in strength Upon another’s heart you slither. I hunger for what I can not have. What have you done to me? That I can not see the light; Yet a prisoner to your charms As you leave me in the night. I hunger for what I can not have. This was indeed a very good read. Indeed, indeed. Its nice how you kept the whole 'hunger for what you cant have' theme going in the poem. |

Thank you all for your kind words. I was in an exceptionally dark mood yesterday and thought I'd scribble a bit thanks again! With the word, I am mighty, with the pen I am free.. dragonpoe |

You know I feel this way many times...I am hungering and desiring that which I cannot have...well only briefly and then it disappears as suddenly as it appears..as if constantly in motion...James |

Most of us have hungered for that which we can not have! True your special friend may have 'showed' you more, some little miracles all your own. But they didn't create them, they were there in you all along, your friend merely opened the door. Knowing this now it's time to continue the journey on your own and with more power at your disposal.... Isis *War produces one thing - Cemetaries. Giving your heart to some one is a dangerous thing. I liked reading this. John |
