Max’s last words before a firing squad: Yes I do have some last words… Thank you captain It feels strange to be here at the point of my death, My last day on earth, And really not be afraid. I hope that in the end, my life (and my death) did some good to this world And I hope that I am remembered by all those dear to me, And that the cause for which I stand, which ultimately brought me here Triumphs. To my comrades: let my death make you strong That you may find strength and not be deterred by my absence. To the people of the world who have hosted me and who will remember me, Thank you, your memory will go with me to the grave To god: this world which you created (or so you say) has ultimately crushed my spirit and my soul I no longer fear death. It has crushed my soul Like these bullets shall but to my physical body So maybe in the end there will be nothing left of me at all So I hope that was your intention. To the love of my life: I want you to know that you are the love of my life. I have one last request: I want her to know that I died, but not that I died like this I want it told to her that I was in an automobile accident, And that in my few last moments of consciousness, I said that I died thinking of her. I want this told to her Because I think of her now, As I am here before you all. That is my last request. To those comrades who have already fallen, and to my friends who died before me: May you greet me with open arms. To the firing squad: do not feel ashamed for you are doing what you were brought here to do To my parents and family: History will absolve me As I am sure you have heard before. These are my last words captain, you may fire when ready Don’t think less of yourself for it. |

Very chilling. And I am left to ponder the inspiration for this one. Hello, Jose, nice to meet you. |

well its hard to say all that was the inspiration for this one, It was probably the biography of che guevara that I read, and Ive always sort of fantasized about dying a heroic death also, when I ws in belgium, I visited a concentration camp, which featured lots of firing squad posts, with the original bulllet holes still in them |

We can only hope that they would allow more than a few words...my last words would probably be to God...asking him to forgive me...James |

Woah... I like this a lot. The format of it is great, and I love the way you placed yourself in the executionee's shoes. |
