If I dont feel that you love me Than how in the world am I to see The end of the darkness is near That no more shall I fear If I dont feel that you love me How will I ever be set free Standing alone without light Full of self doubt and fright If I dont feel that you love me Maybe you dont hold the key As I shiver in the cold While your actions are so bold If I dont feel that you love me Maybe this was never meant to be Turning away from you Is something I really must do A friend, like a candle, is most needed in the darkness. |

It seems peculiar and oddly reassuring that I find myself coming across yet another person dealing with potential turning points in life. You've done a good job summing up the difficulties you have with this person about your not knowing if he loves you. It's good that you've approached this so honestly. Very brave of you. I hope you work it out. Or perhaps this is a fictional situation you've come up with. In any case it's a good poem. "If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh" |
