if I beg of you,
would you please spray me
with endless showers
defrosted from those
frigid icicles

it’s the only chance
that I might have left
to drown my torment
and drink it in gulps

my head is throbbing
with feelings of guilt
and screams of silence
like wild howling wolves
barking at the moon

my arms are spread wide
apart in implore
and am on my knees:
bless my misery
and throw me a rope
so I could hang on
to fresh lease of life;
throw me a shower
so I could come out
cleansed pristinely new

and till you rain down
dark clouds shall remain
and my muse shall scribe
scores of tired dribblings
from a cracked pen
cil

You paint despair and longing with a beautiful force here, Sudhir. I loved this. Thanks for taking my challenge.
