somebody's dungeon

Sleeping through life
you annoy me

you know nothing
of what I am
nor of what
we were

you refuse the cure

you lag behind
in the now
boring me
with flat bits
of trivia

spat out
as you snore
in evermore

Do you think
the truth
unable
a fable

God you're
unstable

cannot
will not
slip into
your mind
as you dream

I scream!

Wake up you bastard
the dawn has come

this bed

my life

is not big enough
for two.

Anne,
Again with the fragile/strength thing. I like it a lot.

And, incidentally, the second I read "cure," Friday I'm In Love popped into my head.

A very frank poem.  I sorta worry that I'll turn out to be the kind of persion your speaker is addressing, lol.

"If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh"
