What pearl of abnormal wisdom do you offer me now in this crowded room static blaring from the tv hours after the anchor man has said good-night? yeah, pass the pipe Then fill me, sage drive your point home with some heart-felt smoke induced advice from the canyon of your wisdom deep inside your marijuana laced brain that I won't follow anyway for tomorrow I'll forget all of this. This is quite a good poem. I can totally identify with the TV still going long after the anchor's departure. I loved your ironic and even oxymoronic portrayal of the sage's advice. I especially liked these lines: drive your point home with some heart-felt smoke induced advice "If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh" |
