Moved from a shack to a barn

I know the signs

Seen it before

Felt the minute
But, nonexistent
Creatures

playing tag

Across my shoulders
And among the hairs
On my arms

I awaken

Glance at the clock
And drift away
To awaken, yet again

Time spent sleeping

Grows

As do the scatterings
Of  laundry

And the islands of mold
In my coffee

Doesn’t seem very

“Clinical”

Even in this
Pointless pursuit
I find myself

Disinterested

Just pushing words
Around on the page

Much as a child
Troubles the peas
On his plate

In reply to "which way do we go?", the answer was never "straight", but, "progressively forward".
