Disoriented steel crouches and covers its ears from bellowing glass. While falling angels seek refuge in finality, to the sound of shattered picture frames. Hastening hands grip bewildered hearts with heartening faces; Black and gold knights on sunset stallions, charging a dragon perched upon greatness. Threatening the kingdom with eyes of hatred, cause, and faith. We lay crippled, belly exposed. Outstretched arms pleading why, before falling still. Security slain. Peace pillaged. Eyes open, and angry. I'm on my feet, I'm on the floor, I'm good to go All I need is just to hear a song I know [This message has been edited by Kevin (09-12-2002 05:04 AM).] |

A very good examination of conflict. Your poem is brief while expressing much. Good job. "If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh" |
