distant highway sound
  of fading thunder

grab another tiny orb
    unseeing
squeeze the cool
smooth
     round
between lonely
Scylla
  and consuming
        Charybdis

let it go
straight and
     away
practice saying goodbye
to retreating Earth
or is it you
      falling away?

the sound of marbles
rolling on a wooden
    floor
will not reveal
    the answer

I never aimed at reality; I aimed at truth. --Orson Welles

Hey you...I think I know this spot you write of...Charybdis, indeed...smiling...oh yeah.

and this:

the sound of marbles
rolling on a wooden
    floor
will not reveal
    the answer

You are a wonderfully profound poet, lovie.

A universe within marbles, clicking and clacking and colliding and carooming?

Wasn't that the ending of Men and Black?

Loved it, brian.

Well, I'm liking this one Brian. Sigh - I used to write like this, playing with format and space...now I've turned conventional...

jealous

heh...
