She's a ghost. She writes in raindrops and tears. She writes to the sun before it dries her away. She's a ghost, and I write back. She will not seal the waxy seams. She's a ghost, her words float like incense burned too long -- the smallest scorch. The slightest thing went wrong. She's a ghost, a reflection in a clock, so I spend hours staring at her hands. I can't look into her mouth, the bay or the breeze. Her face is ribbons and snow and sand. [This message has been edited by bsquirrel (08-30-2002 01:38 PM).] |

Thanks, brian. I was simply looking at some poetry of a PIPfriend today, and wondered why she had to leave (though ... I do know why) Mike |

BSquirrel~ This is quite hauntingly lovely~ How thoughtful that you would *gift* it in the absence of a departed PiP poetess~ Hope she gets to see it~ *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

*long hug* Baby, I wish things could be different. Wish life wouldn't give us issues to talk to psychiatrists about or occurences to write sad poems about. your tongue's like poison |

I usually read your poems twice. The first time is to try and understand them, the second time is for pure enjoyment. Love, Light & Laughter Linda |
