My days are dark and dreary The nights calm not my soul Anxious thoughts keep swirling about As I sink down this black hole The never-ending restlessness Consumes me all the time Engulfing me completely --How I long for peace of mind Each painful life experience Has cracked this thin veneer Bit by bit the pieces fall I soon shall dis... .....................ap.. ............................pear... ........................................... |

Thanks for dipping your toes in here, Earth Angel. I enjoyed the humbleness of this fall-apart. It's so easy to romanticize things like this, so it seems transcendent -- when really, there's *nothing* inherently romantic in a bloody awful day. I'm glad you brought that view here -- Lord knows this place needs it now and again. Mike |
