I search my cup for her light, wanting to understand the night. The moon a white drop in stone-nestled water. I sip the coldness; no different as I swallow. A gray scrim of clouds like cream, like vein spells out letters torn apart by the light. She was searching for the sun. Yellow paint on empty canvas, smearing color in her hands plunged one step of the rainbow. She never swam, but pressed the waves, pulled their faces to her breast. To float or drown? She soaked the sand upon her slow shore standing. When she sang, heat-gray scrim over yellow flare. No device could withstand. We distorted accordingly. For an invisible audience with one voice. Absorbed in noiseless space. I sip the coldness. The moon a white drop. A coin without a face. [This message has been edited by bsquirrel (08-28-2002 12:43 PM).] |

I love you too. And it's good to purge the sadness when y' can. Better than wallowing. Mikhail |
