sometimes I think when you are gone even as i finger linger memory repeats as song-- my lips? betray me. i am singer... my eyes graze in "far-away" in gaze of bovinity. my feet walk toward a trough in promise of serenity... There I feed, as sun goes down. There I'll drink--'till wobbled knees be only things I can count on... two-faced in duality. |

If I'm not missing the mark, methinks we all feed from the same trough now and again. Some more than others, I'm sure. What's a metaphor? (old joke, I'm sorry, you know the cow thing...) duhbrain |

Not to be cliche in my reply to a "dark" poem but this is very deep. I liked your word usage because for once someone is using them in the right context! The overall theme was very well explored and required a decent amount of brain power to figure out so I thank you for that. Very much enjoyed so thanks for posting, Serenity. ~M Imagination=nostalgia for the past, the absent; it is the liquid solution in which art develops the snapshots of reality. |

A fascinating poem with many interesting literary devices. I like the wobbled knees and the two-faced in duality parts. Good job and thankyou for sharing. "If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh" |
