Oh you want to catch my hair, pull me near, mutter polite indecencies, and want me to quench a moment of empty pushing out the part of you... you call full. I may blow stardust in your eyes, move a moment like Salome, and lick my lips to catch your eye- but we both know the dancing truth. You have no wish to touch this skin, I am simply the moment's portal and you'd sooner have me without the heart- a Fench version of the Stepford wife once the priests finished their job. And I will not have you in the messy of my life, so we both know that when you reach all you will touch is the cobweb of a dream. You cannot be my lover- and all I am to you is the Slip Away Woman you wanted for an instant in a lifetime of wanting. |

Damn DeaDi, I think this is wonderful, in that darkish longing wistful way that you have. Missed your writes, glad you're back ~wranx In reply to "which way do we go?", the answer was never "straight", but, "progressively forward". |

Fench, or French? I love how you turn lust back in on itself, wondering where the love is and finding only disgust. Your poems are like little novels. |
