I guess I should own up to it. Responsibility is mine. Facing mirror's bitterness-- Sour grapes will bitter wine. I take the leather from my throat-- and I finger silver spike. I wish it were a cameo-- I wish I saw a face I liked. I wipe the glitter from my eyes-- I slather gloss of lips 'cross face. I am become a cubist clown-- a joker wild--in spider's lace. I grip the marble under glare trying to avoid my stare-- where is the little girl I knew? I gaze into the eyes of shrew. I wanted things so different-- roses growing on the fence-- with herbs in shade beside the porch-- it's true--I really did want more... even if it looked like less-- it would seem the grandest wealth to stand without urge of confess-- and look into the eyes of self. |

yes it would but, then if we were that wealthy PIP would be a ghost town peace of mind to you, lady BS PS you're not a shrew I never aimed at reality; I aimed at truth. --Orson Welles |

Oh how sad, and I wish for you that it was a cameo too. Dealing with loss of self is one of the hardest things in life to deal with, and to put the pieces back together. The same drive that runs things down can indeed build them back up, and in that I find hope. Great write Karen. I pass this way but once so I hope to meet you. |

Methinks, Karenity, that you possess a stronger sense of self than most. (not quite knowing what that says about the rest) I say this because you have left your portrait about the pages, herein. And, all that read you - know you, or enough about you, to be aware that you are, in fact...More ~wranx The shortest distance between two points... |

"a joker wild--in spider's lace." that has got to be the prettiest image I've had in awhile... you and your harsh tones toward yourself sis...you are beautiful and I love this reckoning of you inside yourelf...just try to be nice to you...say, "self" (as you call you)..."I am so damn beautiful, inside and out"...then I'll be agreein with you! love ya!! Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |
