Softly

with uncertain words
and careful phrases

my mouth

slowly

painfully

releases the whispers.

My heart screams
loud and persistant
edging me ever closer
to madness.

But the whispers

are safe

they reveal nothing

they say nothing

they are nothing

but they are
what you
want to hear,

so tragically
I'll whisper

lies into your ear.
