This is the second time in just a couple days that someone has said a poem of mine reminded them of Springsteen. I'm not into Springsteen, never have been, so I can only say it must be coincidence. I'm more a Creed fan actually. Glad you like the poem though. There are a million messages, in a million bottles, you just have to know which one to pull out of the ocean.
