somebody's dungeon

This time I posted these two poems at the same time, since they were both written today about the same thing.

What is it that he gains
when he inflicts this pain?
Is it some sick revenge?
What, his heart to avenge?
Please, I've had enough
of dysfunctional love.
Cursed is this game
alright, I'm to blame!

He'll come here and he'll say,
"I can't believe you write this way"!
"What did I do to make you feel
that this love is not real"?

I'll seethe inside, and scream
not out loud, then I'll dream
of a time gone into past
a time when love at last,
had warmed this heart of stone.
I won't be able to atone
for this sin I perpetrated
making love now hated.
I can take no more of this
he must cease and desist!

A queasy, needed read. Thank you, WhiteRose. As they say, the violence must end.
