Tortured

Scared and alone
Lost and miserable
Tortured and persecuted

Can you identify with me?
Can you understand me?
Can you help me?

Hurt and abandoned
Abused and torn
Desolate and misserable

No one to help me
No one to reach me
No one to understand me

Well said Akira,
But it's the hurt, fear and loneliness, all of us feel, that tempers us.

I enjoyed how small -- and large -- this poem is.

Said if I only could ...
