It's bitter ice in putrid melt--
with grit of brick upon the tongue
regretting that too rashly said
and all that was, now come undone.

Mustard of acerbity,
are yesterdays in dine;
voices in regurgitate--
chew the cork with wine.
Bile proves to be the source of depth,
heaving salt raised from the mine.
Thirst to brave a sip of Lethe--
vintage grape from sour vine.

it's bitter ice in putrid melt
with grit of wall upon the tongue.
Regrets of all that went unsaid--
a smatch of fetid conundrum.

You guys are too good t'me.

Thank you all.

and? sometimes I get on a "kick" where I read one style--and I worry sometimes about making subconscious slips o' the pen...I'm enjoying the silence in the darkness today.

i never would have thought about describing silence with such vile flavoring...
but then i thought about all the times i've shut myself up and considered the circumstances of those situations....

and then i loved this...
and pun notwithstanding, i'm left speechless.

*PS* noticed the new addition to your handle.... and i dig it.  =)

And speaking of 'toolate o'clock'...*grin*...here I am again.
I really must try to sleep one of these nights.

Until then?...I'll be content to stumble across
treasures like this in the mid of night and wee of morn.

Very cool stuff, lady...love it.
