Cracked tile memory

Cracked tile
stains my remember
so I tread lightly
upon reserve…
as tender flesh stings
in ardent flames
of  a past-
I long to lose.

suffocation taunts willpower
(deigned helpless in mold)
control
control

I stifle the burn
(heady with scorn)
of pastimes neglect-
(you were my hobby)
a woman’s attempt at
diverting self-recklessness
to love…
You held me over the precipice
and dared me further-
cradling abandoned youth
in arms of warm curiosity…

I walked away-
you stayed.

somehow I wonder
who got smart
as the years dwindled
into my forever?

Open arms can be the most fragile in the world...

i usually pick a favorite part of the poems i comment on but in this one i would never dare, it's just too good i like the whole thing the best! i usually don't read your poetry but i just wondered helplessly here and couldn't stop reading...that was so good. i was speachless, but then i started talking...

life may just take a while but i guess heaven's worth the wait

Purity~ ah yes...the theme? don't we all sweet one! thank you...

shadowchild458~ well don't I feel blessed that you popped in!! glad to know I render speechlessness for a bit!!

wranx~ hey sweets...the attempt is what counts, no???

D~ as I know you can girl...yet another thing we have in common!!!

Mike- yah, fine I guess...just another stricken moment of stupid youth me...glad to know I've overcome now a days...but it never hurts to go back to the remember and KNOW you've learned from it....this was about my 4 year relationship from 15-19...sighs to me...

Wow! Loved the first verse.
