Pain peeling jagged layers off my mind. Spurts of feeling siphoned out, dehydrating numbness left behind. Desolation drops in dark molasses puddles at my feet. Outside, the world cavorts but I lay curled in corner-cove retreat. Patient time sutures edges of tomorrow with unbroken strands of grey. Moments climb upon the scars in thoughtless disarray. This agony will pass, well-meaning voices claim. Perhaps. But I will never laugh the same. |

Great poem! And yes healing can be a very slow process, but it does happen eventually, just give it time. I hope you're not feeling to down! Friends are here if need! |

"But I will never laugh the same." I loved it all but this line really grabed me, take care! " I have seen without perceiving I have been another man Let me pierce the realm of glamour So I know just what I am"....Dweller on the Threshold, |

You write of such truth. Beautiful! I too know the feeling of never being the same. I also look at everything so differently. Not always being a bad thing, just more cautious. Great Read, DkW No person is worth your tears, and the only one that is ...... will never make you cry |
