As her hair spills over
Strands of beauty fill the air
Her lips of mystery
Slowly depart in their despair

Turning her head lightly
Eyes unseeing to the light
She steps from above...
For Blood & Rainbows fill this night

Rainbows for the faint of heart
The ones who paint with snow
Blood for the emotionless
Who will eventually let it go

Straining to get by the crowd
That fluttered by her door
Walking past her reflection
Not meaning to ignore

Tiltling her neck to watch
The colors bright yet dark
Only one color stands out
Blood & Rainbows have embarked

The ones who paint with snow
Blood for the emotionless
Who will eventually let it go

Wavering not once
Still not brave enough to stand
She stagers through the journey
Unable to understand

That beauty is within
Perfection is untrue

Hey, ali. On the top of the screen where it says Main Forums and Discussion, click on Discussion. This will bring you to a screen where you can find and click on Poetry Challenge! That's where all challenges are posted.

MidsummerRain -- I am awed and inspired by this poem. Beautiful, song-like ... just ... speechlessly good.

that last verse really tied it all together... i dig it.

now that's an image i could dwell on for days....
great and envy inducing as always.
