A fragrance fills the hall.
I can tell you're here but not for me.
But I don't leave my room.
I'll never leave my room.

Your presence scares me.
I can't speak when I hear you say my name.
But I can think of you.
I can think of what to say.

You look foreign.
You step into the doorway, look inside me.
You pull out my words.
You pull out what I don't say.

You're reading my mind.
I wish I would be kind.
I wish I could,
Answer your questions,
and maybe mention I love you...

But do you already know?

You stare into my eyes.
The deep ocean,
that I know and love so much,
is in your eyes.

I forget everything.
My mind is blank,
there's nothing to read,
you leave.

I stand there,
savoring this,
this moment that we had,
but it fades.

I stand here,
thinking I remember,
where you stood, the things you said,
but I can't be for sure.

My memories are distorted,
and I can't be sure, if...
if you were even here....

I love you, I miss you, I wish you knew I need you.

If we follow the invisible line of hatred, it will lead us straight to our hearts..... and pierce.

hey sara! i know the exact feeling you are expressing in this poem...been there done that...lol this has to be my favorite poem of yours! it is so cool! like those two said...wow~...well i'll talk to you later than. keep writing! i always love to read your stuff and no matter what i'll comment, except if i'm on a really slow computer. or if i'm gone at my friends house, lol.

life may just take a while but i guess heaven's worth the wait
