Familiarity breeds contempt, in shallow pools- that are your eyes… ~despise~ ~despise~ Temper frays (in nonchalance) as I overstep to soothe mutual neglect… ~no respect~ …respect? Echoing self control- I bathe catastrophe and temper fray- ~walk away~ …away? Tip in check- (curious me) I sway I sway for temper stay~ I fail this day to walk away~ Instead I seethe in abandon peeve~ Stand my ground (comfort compound) And strike so lethal- with but a killer smile Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

"Stand my ground (comfort compound) And strike so lethal- with but a killer smile" I loved this... along with all of your other poems. You are one of my favorite poets on this site. Please continue sharing all that you have. -Sara If we follow the invisible line of hatred, it will lead us straight to our hearts..... and pierce. |

as much as i want to stand with the guys and say hey.... the guy in the poem sounds like he deserveed it. "Familiarity breeds contempt, in shallow pools- that are your eyes…" don't judge us by our worst specimen. -AC Slater hehehe the last stanza was a perfect close. it's our struggle for identity that leaves us all unknown |
