i've never really seen the world through the eyes of a dozen rats but now i see you, all of you and i know just how it feels to hold out a hand and get nothing but a penny and to think and feel but nobody even notices, you're alive you need help but nobody notices you are struggling to find something just a hint of lemon a hint of sanity would do to complete your curiousity and i don't know how i see it, the pain but i know i cannot stand it and the trees make mistakes as the lightning flashes and the rain falls making soggy sheets again and pain again and people rush by dry and safe under their little cacoons called umbrellas and i know how it feels to stink every day and not be able to care for your family for this is how a child feels when her mother leaves and her daddy drinks her brother smokes, he's only thirteen this is how this child feels, alone on the streets he momma never really left them that was a lie composed by her brother they took her away to an asylum and she says i know how it feels to be homeless, worthless, lifeless. ... i've never really seen the world through the eyes of a dozen rats but now i see you, all of you and i know just how it feels |

Wonderful poem. Lots of creativity "I've never really seen the world through the eyes of a dozen rats but now I see you, all of you and I know just how it feels" you emphasized this ... my favorite part as well... -Sara "Life is a waterfall, we're 1 in the river and we're 1 again after the fall." |
