Woe, Woe, Whoa Sometimes I’ll sit alone In my shack Down on this river And begin to rue My life Woe, I’ll say Woe is me Whoa, slow down Things aren’t all That bad True, My retirement plan is I’ll work till I die But, I never minded work So in this case The longer, the better Besides, I have always done things On my own terms How can one regret that? I do have a sprinkling Of friends Half of which are in jail For being criminally Stupid But, they’ll stop that And will be out soon Aside from some D.N.A. And some genetic traits, I have little in common With my son But, he is happy And successful And that brings me joy So, now that I think About my life I realize That I have but one Real regret Like Lewis Carrolls’ Walrus I only wish That I had had More butter Hey squirrel dude! I keep reading. I haven't found anything I disliked yet. Your work always holds the most interesting thoughts. I will not bend to the cowardice of a silent judgement. |

love the end sort of puts things in perspective. To ever consider ourselves as importent is the triumph of ego over common sense arthur |

And yet another (bow to you) kudos, wranx. Not only do I appreciate your kind posts to my own works, but I must in kind appreciate your craft, as I too relate to your words, and enjoy the way in which you put them together. Awesome! |
